English text below A kérdés az, hogy egy felettes ellenőrző hatóságnak jelentem-e a vállalatom etikai szempontból kifogásolható gyakorlatát.
A legtöbben azt az alternatívát részesítették előnyben, hogy vagy a vállalaton próbálnak pozitív változást elérni, vagy kilépnek a vállalattól, de semmiképpen sem fordulnak felettes hatósághoz.
A második leggyakoribb reakció a cég általános negatív megítélése, s így a saját érdekek védelmében kilépnének a cégtől, de a felettes hatósághoz nem fordulnának.
Az egyszerűen: „jelentem” (a felettes hatóságnak) csak a hozzászólók módosításával kapott támogatást, azaz, ha a bejelentés anonim lehet.Két hozzászólónál az első lépés, a vállalatnál próbálkozás után jelentené, ketten egyáltalán nem jelentenék.
A legfontosabb tanulságnak az látszik ebből, hogy a felettes hatóság iránti bizalom gyakorlatilag nem létezik. Beszédes az egyik hozzászóló nyitó mondata: „Egyben biztos vagyok: nem jelenteném.”
Talán nem érdektelen összevetni egy olyan szavazással, ami tavaly ősszel egy nemzetközi kommunikációs egyetemi kurzus körében történt. Ebben a keletitől nyugatiig, délitől északiig különböző kultúrákat képviselő társaságban 13 fő jelentené, 21 nem jelentené.

The question here is whether I report to the Federal Trade Commission about the ethically problematic practice at my company.
Most of the comments preferred to try to solve the problem within the company, or they quit the company, but reporting to the FTC was not an option.
The second most frequent response was to save personal interests and because of the unethical practice at the company quit, but reporting is still not an option.
The simple „I report” option was modified by one of the comments to „if it is anonymous”, this edited option was also approved by two other commenters.
There were only two commenter who simply rejected to report, and two would report only after contacting the boss (probably without results).The moral of these responses all seems to indicate, that the people have practically no trust in authorities. To quote a comment: „One this is sure: I wouldn’t report.”
It may be instructive to compare these results to a small survey, which was conducted last Autumn among the students of an international communication course. In this course there were people from various cultures from East to West and from South to North. There were 13 people who claimed that they would have reported, and 21 one who would not.
